It was one year ago when we first came together as a board to form the Solon Springs Educational Foundation. Since that first meeting, many things have happened – so much faster than we would have imagined when we gathered around a table in the school library to start dreaming.
In April, we welcomed back U.S. Naval Academy graduate and Alumnus, Kim Mitchell, whose compelling life story highlighted our Annual Fish Fry Dinner. That gathering of our community was inspiring.
In June, we funded projects with the money you donated. As we write this letter, Solon Springs students are using new science and outdoor equipment, gathering around furniture that better meets their needs and teachers are learning new techniques to help them better meet the educational needs of those students.
